June 4, 2012
Well today is a chilly rainy day here. The kids are home today from school do to unused snow days. I was really hoping to go strawberry picking today or at least see if they where ready but not sure with this weather. I really need to restock our strawberry jam in the pantry for the year. I guess also I may have to use the dryer not my line or make the decision to wait a day. Hmmmm. I do like the smell of fresh hung bed clothes and the lower electric bill.  I think on this one I will break the routine for the sake of the electric bill and wait for some sunshine. The beds can be changed and the sheets can wait patiently in the laundry room. One thing I am glad for is that the weather has been warm but not hot enough to have to turn on any air conditioning. That is a a big bill and doesn't help us getting rid of any debt we have.

Chickens, did a great job today with the gather. 14 eggs to clean and frig today.

Our puppy Captain, is still working hard on learning his potty skills and his manners. One good thing is the puppy is changing my sleep pattern from being up all night and not sleeping well, due to my cancer battle, to being tired and sleeping well...LOL.  He is up and ready to play at 5 am. I am not sure if I am doing well with training him but I am reading a lot and trying hard.
I found a book on training puppies for FREE on the web. I will read it and then do a review for you all. In no way have they asked or know of me reviewing the book so this will be strictly my person opinion.

June 3, 2012

Sunday is a day of relax or for me a day of prepping for the week...cutting coupons, making a weekly to do list, a daily schedule, going over my index chore cards and making sure dates and reminders are on the calendar for the week.

Dinner for today will be a large baked chicken, mash potatoes and snap peas from the garden later in the week Chicken Alfredo, soup and lunches will be made from the left over chicken.

Budget $
$6 roaster, Mash potatoes $1.55, snap peas free from garden = $7.55 for a dinner for 5 with left overs.

Waste Not Want Not -  Potato peels went to chickens, pee pod tops went to hamster.
